Description
Oliver's dad is British, so we wanted a room that would be full of pride for Great Britain. It's a mix of traditional and modern pieces, and the colors are bright red, white, blue and gray. Mod art and gold accents keep it fun and cool.
Design Inspiration
My husband provided the concept inspiration and Joni at Lay Baby Lay had a British board that helped me jumpstart the design
Decorating Style
I like chic classics mixed with fun, contemporary/modern pieces.
Project Details
The red dresser was purchased vintage at a flea market and painted lacquer red. The walls are Ben Moore Normandy. Many more details on my blog post
Favorite Items
The lacquer red dresser and the union jack toy box which was a gift from a friend
Advice
To give it that 'royal' feeling, I brought in lots of different textures (such as sheepskin, wool, and linen) and kept in the red/white/blue theme except for a few fun accents that keep it feeling kid-like.
