Description
Baby Nahla's Nursery is a modern twist on a classic Rococo Interior. The nursery has a graceful upholstered wall of colorful butterflies that serves not only as the focal point of the Nursery, but also makes the room feel warm and quiet. It features classic lush silk drapery, fun multicolor pompom drapery trim and fine Victorian furniture in an elegant eggshell finish. The modern twist to the Nursery is the graphic faux carousel canopy painted in beautiful bold colors on the ceiling.
Design Inspiration
When I designed Nahla's Nursery, my inspiration was the stunning Wynn Encore Casino on the Famous Las Vegas Boulevard - a project I was fortunate to be a part of when I was working for an Award Winning Firm in Las Vegas. The Casino is all about bold colors, butterflies, umbrellas and creamy carved wood detailing. All ingredients that I love as a Designer, so why not apply them to a Little Girl's World too? Well, I did and this is the result!
Decorating Style
My Decorating Style is as Diverse as my Background - It's Scandinavian Retro meets Vintage French Country & Hollywood Glam. Bold, calm and elegant all at the same time:)

Advice
This nursery is all about the beautiful upholstered wall and the stunning ceiling! Spend some time looking for the perfect fabric (or wallpaper) and have it installed on the feature wall of your nursery. This is typically where the crib sits. Then take a cutting of the fabric to your local paint store (if you don't happen to have a paint deck on hand) and find paint colors matching a handful of your favorite colors from the fabric. No need to worry about the colors looking good together, because the fabric designer already did that job for you;) Good Luck!
