My goal for his room was to create something he could grow into. I didn’t want to verge on anything too babyish but still wanted the room to feel kid appropriate. The jumping off point was the Schumacher bird wallpaper, chosen to represent my husband’s baby bird nickname still used by his mom. I love incorporating vintage artwork to my designs and when I found this Mexican Journey print, via Etsy, I new it was the perfect piece to showcase his heritage. The window seat was built to create extra storage and work as a place for our two dogs to lounge on as well.
