I wanted to create a very simple car theme party for Luca with the idea of the movie ‘Cars’ but not using that exact theme.  Making the car red added a nice pop of color against the shades of white, gray and black.  I kept thinking about Route 66 and came up with adding his age inside the route sign.  Then it was fun to think of names to coordinate with all the desserts and drinks.  Such as ‘Fastlane Fruit Punch’ and ‘ Vroom Vroom Vanilla Cupcakes’. 

This nursery was created for my daughter, Ella.  I knew I wanted to work with a yellow and gray color scheme and then add in touches of pink.  The room is very small and though I had a lots of ideas, I tried not to clutter it up but keep it simple and add lots of homemade touches to treasure along with some modern items that she can grow up with and aren’t so ‘baby.’

A party suitable for a queen but made for a princess! Keeping things simple but of course pretty, I combined silhouette details of crowns and castles with a vintage frame design. All items are available online (as a printable party pack) at my Etsy shop www.greenapplepaperie.etsy.com
