Roberta’s Yellow Book-Themed Gender Reveal

A blue and red room for a toddler boy that combines several themes – cars, airplanes, animals, and superheroes.
For my son’s first birthday party, there was no theme, just lots of bright colors and lots of photos of the birthday boy. The main colors for the party were yellow, aqua and coral. I made a DIY photo “booth” for guests to take photos with fun accessories during the party. To see more of his party, visit icecreamoffpaperplates.wordpress.com.
Dr. Seuss-themed playtime party to celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday. Seuss snacks were served and lots of “props” including Dr. Seuss books and plush toys were arranged for a photo op. Each little guest received a framed Dr. Seuss quote that I designed wrapped in chevron paper.
Since we don’t know our baby’s gender, we decorated the nursery in bright, neutral colors – aqua/teal, orange, yellow and green. We furnished and decorated the space on a budget, so most of the projects for the room were DIY. You can see more pictures of our nursery on my blog at http://icecreamoffpaperplates.wordpress.com/2012/07/02/baby-kopps-nursery-finally-finished/.
