Bellamy’s Bright and Modern Nursery

Description

A gender neutral nursery for a surprise baby, turned 'girly' with pops of neon pink!

Design Inspiration

We wanted to keep the room as gender neutral as possible until the baby was born. I was going for a bright & modern feel with a subtle grey backdrop and lots of pops of color.

Decorating Style

I love colors and pattern mixing, but also have an affinity for vintage objects and styles. I tried to keep this room as fresh & modern as possible without being too stark.

Project Details

We started with the crib (Jenny Lind) and dresser (Land of Nod), and I spent forever looking for a rocking chair. I came across this gem at Ikea and while it doesn't rock, it's actually super comfortable and leans back just enough to feel like you're being wrapped up in it - so cozy! And the pop of orange was perfect for this space. For more details - check out my blog!

Favorite Items

I love the crib sheet (ivie baby), but I think the dresser is my favorite part of this room - something that Bellamy will have forever, I hope!

Advice

I tried to make the room clean and whimsical with lots of color and was able to achieve that through different pillows, prints, blankets and other trinkets that I collected throughout my pregnancy.
