A Music Themed Nursery
Design Inspiration
Since our home is Mid-Century Modern, we knew we wanted to keep our babyâs nursery clean, simple and someplace he could grow into. My husband is a musician, so we have an abundance of guitars around the house. In addition to needing a place to stash one or two, we also knew that he would want to play for our son, so the music theme evolved pretty organically! We found the orange album cover in his vinyl collection, the orange guitar pillow, and the toy box (I couldnât resist it!), and the color palette came together! I also knew I would be incorporating the rocking chair...it was my motherâs when she was a child...I had originally planned on painting it, but now Iâm so glad I decided to leave it as-is.

Favorite Items
One of my favorite things in the room is the framed onesie. We had been toying around with the name Bowie, when we came across this onesie in a shop and decided to buy it âjust in caseâ. After he grew out of it, I put it in a frame I had...as kind of a subtle way of of putting his name up in the room. Â
Advice
We really tried to use what we had (for the wall collages, especially), and shop for items that could be re-used later either in a "big-boy" room, or someplace else in the house. Â That way we get the most mileage out of our purchases and avoid anything too "baby" that Bowie will be tired of in a couple of years. Â

For those of you asking, it looks like the paint color is: Sherwin Williams Embellished Blue (I had to look on her blog for the color.) Hope that helps!

So cute! I love your son's name too. I love David Bowie but unfortunately for me my husband wouldn't never agree to let me name our child after him.

Cool room with a cool theme. And that looks like an interesting yellow lamp below the onesie in a frame.
