Description
When we moved into a new home recently it was the perfect opportunity to trade in our daughter's nursery for a "big girl room". I wanted a cheerful and bold space for our colorful girl, but I also love fresh, bright rooms, so decided to go with a white backdrop and add happy punches of pink, turquoise and yellow. This room just makes me happy every time I walk by, and I love how it reflects the fun personality of our little girl.
Design Inspiration
An antique wrought iron bed was the biggest thing on my wish list for the room and served as the jumping-off point for the color scheme. I spent ages checking Kijiji (similar to Craigslist) and thrift stores, until finding this one for a steal. It was quite rusty and chipped, so we decided to spray paint it hot pink, just for fun! It really pops against the white walls and bedding.
Decorating Style
I like the bright, airy feel of modern spaces, incorporated with vintage and traditional elements to bring in lots of character and visual interest.

Favorite Items
I love the pink bed and also the floral "C" because both were DIY projects (always the most meaningful!) which I think add uniqueness and personality to the space.
