Krosby’s Shabby Chic Nursery

Description

A relaxing and inviting nursery for our little girl Krosby!  The soft blue tone provides a great back drop for the pops of pink and sparkle.  This room is truly the most calming room in our entire house!

Design Inspiration

The inspiration come from the flea market 1950's dresser and wrought iron crib.  The dresser was perfect for the space and after new bling for the handles we knew the direction of the whole room!  The blue walls for a little girls room were also a chance (at least for my husband) but we could not be happier with the turn out after the accents were in place!!

Decorating Style

I would describe our style as Shabby Chic meets pops of color.

Favorite Items

This is very hard for me because I like all of the items in the nursery but if I had to choose one I would say the lamp!  It is covered in glitter and was repurposed by my husband.  I also really like the custom shelves with all her items that different family members gave to us along the pregnancy journey.

Advice

You can never start buying and planning to early.  Krosby was three weeks early and her nursery was finished up the weekend before she arrived!  We worked on it when our busy schedules allowed but it still took us almost 6 months to complete!
