Description
We designed this space-themed nursery to be bright and bold, with lots of contrast to help our son's developing vision and curiosity!
Design Inspiration
My husband and I are both science nerds, so we decided to play on that by creating a space-themed nursery. Research shows that bright colors and high contrast designs help babies' vision develop, so I wanted the room to be colorful, with plenty of patterns to attract Lincoln's attention and encourage his curiosity.
Decorating Style
My style is definitely eclectic! I tend to like quirky and colorful designs. For this room I incorporated some mid-century modern elements (like the clock and some of the fabric patterns).

Favorite Items
I especially love how the dresser and rug turned out. I was nervous about choosing a lime green paint for the dresser but Can't Miss Lime lived up to its name!
Advice
If you're on a budget like we were, search online for DIY instructions to replicate higher-end items for much less money. Be forgiving of little mistakes you might make while crafting items for the room - in the end, the imperfections won't be noticeable and will only serve to show how much time and love you put into the room!
